The playful collection of 29 products is based on research into the everyday life and behavior of cats and dogs at home. Cats and dogs are an essential part of many people’s home lives. IKEA tried to develop a playful collection that takes into account the needs and wants of cats and dogs and their families, while prioritizing safety.
UTSADD was developed around the four most common activities that cats and dogs do in the home – eat, sleep, play and hide. The collection is designed to make these activities enjoyable and manageable for both pets and humans.
• Colorful food bowls and a double-sided non-slip mat help reduce mealtime mess. The bowls are ceramic and therefore heavier and less likely to move, and the coaster helps keep them in place. They also come in multiple sizes and are dishwasher and refrigerator safe.
• Soft blankets and cozy beds help provide comfort and reduce anxiety during downtime while seamlessly blending into the home. They come in a variety of options, materials and sizes, are machine washable, and some are water-repellent.
• Allen key and bone toys invite hours of fetching, chewing and searching for treats. The toys, which are made of natural rubber and fabric, are carefully designed to be durable and robust, yet gentle on teeth and gums.
• The stylish rattan tent and house make hiding extremely cat-friendly and a style-approved addition to any space. UTSADD also includes an updated version of the LURVIG range which fits nicely into the KALLAX rack.
Safety comes first
The safety of pets is taken into account and a priority in all stages of the development of UTSADD, and from as many aspects as possible. In addition, all UTSADD products are labeled with symbols intended to provide clear and understandable safety messages. These messages state, for example, that the owner should always be present when the pet is using the product, or that the product should be thrown away if it breaks.
The UTSADD collection will be available in selected markets from April 2024. Contact your local IKEA customer service to check availability.
