IKEA has launched SKOGSDUVA, a new children’s collection inspired by Swedish forests. The collection features 20 educational, inspiring, and practical products designed to bring play and joy into the daily lives of young ones.
Among other items, the SKOGSDUVA collection includes duvets, pillows, and plush toys inspired by Swedish wildlife, insects, and plants. With SKOGSDUVA, IKEA aims to encourage children to explore nature and feel as if they can bring these animals to life in their own room.

Not just during playtime, but also in daily activities, SKOGSDUVA inspires fun and creativity in everyday routines. For example, bath time becomes more enjoyable with a lynx-shaped hooded towel, or bedtime stories can be brought to life using plush animals and illustrated blankets.
Sadly, many of the animals that call the Swedish forest home are currently endangered and listed on Sweden’s Red List. The Swedish Red List, managed by the Swedish Species Information Centre (SLU), highlights species that are at risk and how close they are to extinction.
With the SKOGSDUVA collection, IKEA hopes to raise awareness about the real endangered animals that inspired the collection. The products are designed to help children learn more about these animals and their habits in a playful way.
The latest IKEA Play Report 2024 shows that only 51% of children are satisfied with the amount of time they have to play, while 54% of parents wish they had more time to play with their children. As the home is where families spend most of their time together and strengthen their bonds, it plays a key role in this.
The SKOGSDUVA collection will be launched across all IKEA markets in October 2024.
